Succumbing To Succulents

Standard

Succs-01 Two weeks of stay in Southern Italy over the summer confirmed my obsession with these tiny beauties. After orchids, my other love are succulents. Walking at the streets of  Sorrento overlooking the Mediterranean, they are showcased in huge blocks of colored terracotta pots in groups. They make the biggest impact when grouped in huge & wide pots. The best way to show them off is close-up. Their beauty is so simple but sublime.  These are the only plants that gracefully survived in my backyard over the scorching summer heat here in the south.
